Welcome to the Ultrafast Spectroscopy Group
Our research aims at understanding the Physics of Novel Materials and using this to develop optical and electronic nanostructure devices.
Some of the areas that we are currently working on are:
Light-matter interaction in the quantum regime (eg. Phonon cavities)
Ultrafast optical studies of emergent material systems (eg. TMDCs and strongly correlated materials)
Terahertz spectroscopy and imaging (for fundamental studies as well as industrial applications)
[May 2021] Abhishek and Satyam graduates from IISER-TVM with a BS-MS degree in Physics. Congrats Abhishek, Satyam and all the graduates of Batch 2016.
[Mar 2021] Akshay and Sreelekshmi joins the group for minor project.
[Dec 2020] Prahalad successfully defended his PhD thesis. Congratulations Dr.Prahalad!
[Nov 2020] Navya Biju joins the group for PhD. Welcome Navya!
