IISER-TVM has several state-of-the-art equipments, a partial list can be found here

We have (i) Femtosecond Ti:Sapphire oscillator capable of producing laser pulses with ~100fs duration. This laser is used to for pump-probe experiments to study the ultrafast dynamics in semiconductor and semiconductor nano-cavities. This laser is also used for THz spectroscopy.

(ii) Femtosecond Ti:Sapphire Amplifier system. This laser is used for THz-TDS studies as well as pump-probe studies.

(iii) Optical parametric Amplifier capable of generating femtosecond pulses in the Spectral range of 240 – 2600 nm

We also have a solid state green laser (532 nm, 25mW), He-Ne laser (633nm, 12 mW), a high resolution (0.2nm) spectrometer coupled with CCD and InGaAs array. These are used to carry-out photoluminescence studies covering the visible (200-900nm) as well as the IR range (800 -1700nm).
